Hope

Armand Ellaga
Class of 2017
Athletic Training

I was always taught to retain ma sense of hope throughout my life and that even though bad things happen, hope empowers you to become motivated and optimistic. It allows you to maintain a healthy mindset and build resilience to negativity. It is essential to have in order to overcome life’s obstacles and has driven me to develop a continuously positive outlook that I rely on to guide me through challenging times. I would not have succeeded on overcoming my countless hardships if I had not possessed hope. As Emily Dickinson wrote, “Hope is the thing with Feathers that perches in the soul, and sings the tune – without the words, and never stops at all.”
